Managing multiple Apple iPads in a business setting can be hard. Our Bouncepad enclosures have got security covered, but how can you handle the internal processes in one go? Kandji is the new software start-up striving to make the management of Apple products easier. The San Diego-based company has a team of roughly 60 and it targets mid to large size companies with cloud-based, security-focused software for managing Apple devices in the workplace.
Kandji suits an increasingly automated world; focusing on automating many of the time-consuming tasks involved with managing multiple Apple devices. The start-up has seen massive growth since it was founded back in 2018 and is expecting as much as 10X revenue growth in 2021.
The Apple enterprise solution can be used for managing iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple TV devices. The popularity of Apple products in a business setting is only increasing – today, 55% of SME’s use Mac devices. As Apple grows, so will Kandji. The solution currently provides a library of automations that IT teams can leverage. These range from complicated automations to mundane tasks such as renaming devices.
We caught up with Sylvia, Head of Marketing, to discuss what makes Kandji unique and what we can look forward to seeing from them in the future.
Kandji has seen great growth since its creation – What makes it stand out from other solutions in the market?
What makes Kandji unlike any other Apple device management (MDM) solution on the market is our focus on automation. We help save our customers countless hours of repetitive tasks, freeing up time for more strategic work. Our growing library of 150+ pre-built automations, apps, and workflows is key to accomplishing this modern take on device management.
What is Kandji’s most unique feature?
We’ve created a powerful new approach to patch management for macOS. Rather than manually packaging, hosting, and patching common apps like Zoom, our Auto Apps feature lets IT do it in one click. All of the updates are packaged and hosted for you, and Kandji automatically makes sure that any of those apps are patched and kept up to date.
What can we look forward to seeing from Kandji in the future?
We’re excited to see how rapidly enterprise companies are adopting Apple devices, and we’re proud that our solution makes Apple’s unmatched device experience even easier to deliver at scale. It’s also exciting to see how quickly Apple is innovating. They’re constantly pushing their technology forward, opening up new paths for device management. We love the synergy this creates in the Apple device management space, and we’re constantly building support for Apple’s latest updates as well as expanding our MDM capabilities for the future of device management.
